Job overview

A substantive permanent Specialty Doctor post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is available to commence from October 2026 at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

It is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to join the team within Buckinghamshire NHS Trust, supplying Oral and maxillofacial services to Buckinghamshire population. This post offers the opportunity to work within a major Integrated Care System (ICS) called BOB (Buckinghamshire-Oxfordshire-Berkshire). The post holder will be expected to work a total of 5.5 PA's that will include 4.5 sessions of DCC and 1 session supporting clinical activity (SPA) currently unscheduled on job plan.

Applicants MUST hold a Full GDC Registration with a Licence to Practice in the UK.

Main duties of the job

Candidates will share the responsibility of the day to day running of the unit, i.e. operating lists, waiting list and clinics.

This post is based in Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust which comprises of 3 main sites; Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, Wycombe General Hospital in High Wycombe and Amersham General Hospital in Amersham. The service also runs from some peripheral sites including Marlow Community Hospital. The post holder's duties will be based across the Trust sites at Aylesbury, Amersham and Marlow.
