Person specification

Education/Qualification

Essential criteria
  • Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Attendance at specialist short courses or equivalent CPD activities within the specialist areas of Neuro Rehabilitation


Desirable criteria
  • Member of a Special Interest Group relevant to this post such as ACPIN


Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience post registration as a Band 5 physiotherapist
  • Experience working at a Junior level in a wide range of specialised clinical areas including outpatients, neurology, rehabilitation, orthopedics and respiratory


Desirable criteria
  • Experience in service development projects.


Skills and knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Skills in the assessment and treatment of adults with complex Neurological condition ands multi-pathologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex neurological, medical conditions including multipathologies and falls
  • Ability to apply core Physiotherapy skills across a range of clinical conditions within a client centered, goal setting
  • Knowledge of outcome measures and evidence-based practice
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritise and demonstrate clinical reasoning
  • Teaching of junior staff / students, peers in Inservice training setting


Desirable criteria
  • Supervision of assistant / junior staff
  • Supervision of Students
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant, RCP, NICE and CSP guidelines

  • As this is a community-based role, there is a requirement to hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
