Are you an experienced solicitor seeking a stimulating and satisfying role? Join us as a Solicitor in Commercial & Environmental Law and help shape the future of local government services in Nottinghamshire. You will be a vital part of our team, providing expert contract, commercial, and procurement advice to the Council.

In this pivotal position, you will:
  • Collaborate with clients and senior officers on exciting projects, including local government reorganisation and social care services
  • Provide legal guidance on public procurement matters
  • Draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards
  • Support the Council in achieving its strategic objectives through effective legal solutions
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your legal expertise

To thrive in this role, you must:
  • Be a qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 2 years PQE
  • Have proven experience in local government law and public procurement with a strong understanding of commercial law principles
  • Possess excellent research and analytical skills to navigate complex legal issues
