What you will do:

• Lead, motivate, supervise, and manage a team of social workers and practitioners within the Kinship Fostering Team.
• Provide regular supervision, performance management, and professional support to maintain high standards of practice.
• Oversee assessments of prospective kinship foster carers, ensuring compliance with fostering regulations, legislation, and best practice standards.
• Ensure foster carers receive effective support, guidance, and development opportunities to promote successful placements.
• Manage safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively, providing oversight on complex child protection and fostering cases.
• Monitor and review casework, assessments, reports, and care planning to ensure quality and consistency.
• Develop strong partnerships with Children's Services teams, education providers, health professionals, legal services, and other agencies to improve outcomes for children.
• Monitor team performance, evaluate service data, and contribute to audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money and efficient service delivery.
• Support the development and implementation of Coventry City Council's Kinship Care Strategy.
• Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practice across the service.
• Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, national minimum standards, statutory guidance, and local authority procedures.
