As a Social Worker in the Ashfield North Family Support & Safeguarding Team, your role will be dynamic and rewarding. You will work with children of all ages, primarily completing child and family assessments for some of our most vulnerable children. Collaborating closely with the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and various agencies, you will identify needs and manage each child's plan, aiming to foster positive change within their home environment. With the support of your Team Manager and colleagues, you will respond to identified risks and ensure the best outcomes for the children and families you serve. In this role, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs.
• Collaborate with MASH and other agencies to develop effective support plans.
• Monitor and review child protection plans to ensure safety and well-being.
• Engage with families to provide support and guidance. Document all interactions and maintain accurate records in our internal database.
• Attend meetings and contribute to multi-agency discussions to safeguard children.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A BA in Social Work or an equivalent qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• A solid understanding of child development and family dynamics.
• Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004.
