Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with disabilities, mental health needs, and learning disabilities.

Are you ready to make a real impact? As a Social Worker in our Adult Social Care team, you will assess individual needs and coordinate outcomes that empower adults to manage their own lives. You will promote a strength-based approach, ensuring that everyone has the choice and control they deserve. Join our supportive team in Newark and Sherwood, where your skills will help adults achieve independence and reach their personal goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate a range of outcomes to meet those needs.
  • Promote personalisation and self-directed support.
  • Collaborate with health professionals and community partners.
  • Undertake safeguarding duties and risk assessments.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals and their families.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • At least two years of post-qualification experience (for Band B applicants).
  • Knowledge of adult social care legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Experience in managing complex cases and working collaboratively with health and social care partners.

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport.
  • Problem-solving abilities in complex situations.
  • Resilience and adaptability to manage competing demands.
  • A commitment to excellent customer care and strength-based practice.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

At Nottinghamshire County Council, we offer:
  • A place to belong: a friendly, inclusive workplace where everyone is valued.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
  • Generous annual leave and pension benefits.
  • Professional development opportunities and ASYE support.
  • Mileage payments and wellbeing support.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to be a vital part of our community! If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of adults and have the skills we are looking for, we want to hear from you. Apply today and help us create a brighter future for those we serve!
