Job Title: Social Work Team Resource Officer (SWTRO) within Transformation and Business Support Services

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week

Job Location: Office location (Taw View Barnstaple or Phoenix House, Tiverton) - Please confirm preferred office location. This role requires office attendance, minimum of 2 days per week on site working.

An opportunity has arisen for a Social Work Team Resource Officer to join our Business Support Team based in Barnstaple or Tiverton providing support to FRONTLINE CHILDREN'S SOCIAL CARE

  • Able to use a laptop (TEAMS/Outlook/Calendars/Microsoft Edge/Excel/Word). Basic Training will be provided.
  • Positive & enthusiastic attitude towards learning and supporting colleagues.
  • Experience of note taking (typed) at meetings.
  • Good communication skills & the ability to build good working relationships with team members and wider colleagues.
  • Ability to plan workload for the day and be adaptable when Service needs might change.
  • Ability to think on your feet and work with colleagues to resolve problems.
  • Remain calm and resilient under pressure.
  • Being a team player

Key tasks/responsibilities of the role (SWTRO):
  • Using a laptop and various internal systems and Microsoft packages to conduct your role.
  • Working in an ‘agile' way - some mandatory office-based work alongside flexibility to work remotely some of the time.
  • Drafting & responding to emails.
  • Meetings administration (in person and virtual).
  • Uploading/downloading evidence to/from internal systems.
  • Inputting data into spreadsheet/word documents.
  • Supporting Social Workers with social care documents & administration.
  • Supporting with completion of applications to support vulnerable children.
  • Supporting with arranging transport for children & families.
  • Other administrative activity to support the needs of the business as discussed with your manager - further detail within the job description.

Interviews will be held either in person or virtually

Virtually via TEAMS (you will need access to a laptop/computer with webcam & microphone).

In person - either in Barnstaple or Tiverton, details will be provided
