Site Engineer

Job description

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Staffordshire, working with a leading Tier 1 contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a significant highways project, supporting site operations during a critical phase of the works.

Initially this position is working nights through September and October
Key Responsibilities

• Setting out for highways works
• Basic surveying activities
• Site measurements and accurate record keeping
• Holding and issuing permits, including:
  • Permit to Dig
  • Hot Works Permits
• Scanning and identification of underground services
• Supporting safe digging operations in line with project procedures
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification

Requirements

Experience with:

• Setting out
• Surveying
• Permit systems
• Utility detection and service avoidance
• Safe excavation practices

Qualifications:

• EUSR 1 & 2
• SSSTS
• CSCS Card

Highways Passport preferred but not essential
