We are excited to offer an opportunity for motivated, driven and dynamic individuals to join the in-patient therapy team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Senior Therapy Assistant, with posts across different clinical specialties.

The posts are based at the Bradford Royal Infirmary.

These posts will offer the successful candidates to work alongside a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other therapy assistants, providing highly effective therapy treatment for patients under the care of our in patient team.

Each team provides patient care in a ward setting to deliver effective therapy and rehabilitation, assisting patients to improve their function and return home safely after an illness, injury or surgery. While mainly ward based we do also undertake work in different settings such as clinics, out patient and within patients own homes.

Sponsorship for these posts is not available.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about working in a team delivering excellent patient care and committed to personal development. They will be supported by a team of therapists to develop their existing clinical skills, through comprehensive shadowing and competency assessment and training programmes. They will have regular supervision to support and develop clinical reasoning to become competent practitioners taking responsibility for a caseload delegated to them by the qualified therapists.

These posts require staff to transport themselves and equipment across the city between patient appointments safely.

We also run a seven day service with weekends working being part of the routine rota in these two teams.
