What you will do:

• Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring targeted help, carrying out assessments in line with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance
• Lead on Child in Need planning, ensuring interventions are timely, proportionate, and focused on outcomes
• Provide professional support and mentoring to social workers, helping to maintain quality assurance and foster reflective practice
• Undertake risk assessments and implement safeguarding measures to protect children from harm
• Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategy discussions, liaising effectively with partner agencies

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
• Post-qualification training relevant to children and families practice

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England
• Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and the Equality Act 2010
• Understanding of local authority safeguarding frameworks and OFSTED expectations
