Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to lead the clinical development of the Orthopaedic Enhanced Care Unit (ECU) at Chapel Allerton Hospital.
Main duties of the job

Our established four-bedded Enhanced Care Unit currently provides enhanced postoperative care for elective and revision orthopaedic patients requiring a higher level of observation than can be safely delivered on a standard ward.As part of a significant expansion of the Orthopaedic Service, two additional operating theatres are currently being developed, increasing surgical capacity and enabling the Trust to care for a greater number of patients with increasingly complex needs. As a result, the Enhanced Care Unit will evolve to support patients with a higher acuity and more advanced postoperative care requirements, broadening its existing ceiling of care.
