Are you ready to lead and inspire? Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Senior Public Health and Communities Manager to cover maternity leave. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert Public Health advice and strategic leadership on the Best Start agenda. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our community members.

As the Senior Public Health and Communities Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Strategic Leadership: Guide the local health and wellbeing system with your expertise.
  • Commissioning Services: Develop and implement services that improve outcomes for residents.
  • Partnership Building: Foster strong relationships with senior staff, elected members, and external organisations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Report on service achievements and address any issues affecting delivery.
  • Team Management: Supervise and motivate staff to achieve high performance levels.

To succeed in this role you should possess:
  • A postgraduate qualification in Public Health or a related clinical subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Public Health issues, ideally with experience in clinical services.
  • Proven experience in commissioning and Public Health-related work.
  • Familiarity with NHS operations and policies.
