Senior / Principal Engineer

Tetra Tech is looking for an Electrical Senior / Principal Engineer to join our dynamic M&E team based in Belfast. Reporting into the Electrical Director, this role is an integral part of the building services team in Belfast, and you would be responsible for the delivery of engineering design solutions for our projects and as part of a team delivering complex and large-scale projects.

Your Role :

• Responsible for the delivery of engineering design solutions encompassing all aspects of electrical building services engineering consultancy
• End to end process taking designs from concept to site and through commissioning
• Carry out calculations and co-ordinate electrical services to a high level of accuracy
• Work within a team delivering complex and large scale projects
• Work across a number of sectors including, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education and leisure within both public and private domains
• Mentor and support the development of junior members of staff including Graduates and Apprentices

As we work with our clients to deliver zero and low carbon solutions and to meet the Government's 2050 net zero target, you will be expected to have a passion and enthusiasm to work with the project team to develop and drive the sustainability agenda and low carbon design.

Your skills & attributes will include:

• Educated in Electrical Engineering, building services engineering or other relevant field. Relevant experience in lieu will be reviewed.

• Chartered Engineer and member of relevant body, or working towards Chartered membership.

• Experience of working in a similar company, across a range of sectors

• Good communication skills with ability to deliver projects to with a defined time period.

• Ability to develop relationships with colleagues and peers.

• Ambition and drive to lead and develop your skills, technically and commercially.

• Knowledge and experience of electrical engineering and low carbon design

• Knowledge and experience of using design software, such as Amtech, Dialux etc

• Experience and knowledge of using Revit and Navisworks software.

• Willingness to travel for project work, withi n UK and Ireland, is desirable
