We are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic and student-centred Senior Lecturer in Cardiac Physiology to deliver an outstanding academic experience across our BSc (Hons) Cardiac Physiology and BSc (Hons) Cardiac Physiology Practice Degree Apprenticeship programmes, as well as supporting future programme development.

You will contribute to teaching and learning across undergraduate Cardiac Physiology, Healthcare Science and other health-related programmes within the Faculty. Teaching delivery will take place on campus, within practice settings and online, providing students with an engaging and inclusive learning experience.

The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the University's growing research and knowledge exchange agenda. You will be encouraged to develop research activity, build external partnerships and strengthen the national and international profile of the department. The University is committed to supporting your continued professional and academic development and offers a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education leading to HEA accreditation for those who do not already hold a teaching qualification.
Is this you?
You will be an experienced Cardiac Physiologist with a strong commitment to educating and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals. As a Senior Lecturer, you will demonstrate professional expertise alongside substantial teaching and learning experience within higher education, clinical practice, or both.

We are looking for someone with excellent leadership, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, together with a thorough understanding of healthcare science, research and evidence-informed, sustainable practice. You will be able to articulate a clear vision for research and knowledge exchange activities, demonstrate a commitment to employability and continuing professional development, and contribute positively to academic leadership within the Faculty.
