Help shape the services that prevent homelessness across Newport.

Every day, housing support services can be the difference between someone finding stability or facing homelessness.

We're looking for an experienced housing professional to lead Newport's Supported Housing and Floating Support Gateway, helping ensure people can access the right support at the right time while shaping services that prevent homelessness and promote independence.

This is an opportunity to lead a service with real influence, working alongside housing providers, support organisations and public sector partners to improve outcomes for some of Newport's most vulnerable residents.

The Opportunity

As Senior Gateway Team Leader, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership for a service at the heart of homelessness prevention in Newport.

You'll lead a team responsible for coordinating access to housing support services, while working with partners across housing, health, social care and the voluntary sector to improve outcomes for people with complex needs.

In this role, you'll:

• Lead and develop Newport's Supported Housing and Floating Support Gateway.
• Shape housing support pathways and help drive homelessness prevention across the city.
• Build strong partnerships with commissioned providers and key stakeholders.
• Lead service improvement through performance management, data and insight.
• Contribute to wider housing support and commissioning priorities, including deputising for the Housing Support & Commissioning Team Manager.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident and collaborative leader with substantial experience in housing support, supported housing, homelessness services or a related field.

You'll have experience of leading people, managing performance and working with vulnerable individuals with complex needs. You'll also bring a strong understanding of homelessness legislation and the ability to build effective partnerships across organisations.

Most importantly, you'll be motivated by the opportunity to improve services, influence positive change and make a lasting difference to people's lives.
