Senior Finance Business Partner Location: Greater London / Thames Valley (Hybrid role)I am working closely to help my well known client recruit for a Senior Finance Business Partner. You will be joining a large, well known, complex organisation, partnering with senior leadership across significant parts of the business. This is a highly commercial and operational role, providing insight, challenge and decision support to improve financial performance, productivity and operational efficiency. You'll take ownership of planning, forecasting and performance reporting for your area, while working closely with senior stakeholders to understand performance drivers, identify opportunities and support key investment and transformation decisions. The role will give you the opportunity to influence a substantial cost base, support investment and transformation activity, drive improvements in performance and develop a team of FBP's.The roleAct as the lead Finance Business Partner to senior and executive stakeholdersLead budgeting, forecasting and longer-term planningProvide clear insight into financial and operational performance, highlighting key risks and opportunitiesIdentify opportunities to improve cost and productivity Support strategic projects, investment proposals and business casesTrack the financial benefits and ROI of key initiatives and investmentsPartner with Procurement and other functions on supplier and commercial decisionsMaintain strong financial control across a significant operational cost baseDevelop MI and KPIs to improve visibility and decision-makingDrive improvements in reporting, processes and automationLead and develop a small finance teamBuild strong relationships across Finance and the wider business, becoming a trusted advisor to senior leadershipLeading a team of 3 Finance business PartnersThis would suit a commercially minded qualified accountant who enjoys being close to the operational side of a business rather than purely reporting the numbers. Ideally, you'll bring:ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification or equivalentStrong Finance Business Partnering experience in a operationally complex environmentStrong budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis experienceExperience working with senior non-finance stakeholdersThe ability to challenge constructively and influence decision-makingExperience building business cases and evaluating investment decisionsA strong understanding of cost management and operational performancePrevious team management or coaching experienceA track record of improving reporting, processes and financial insightPrevious experience of having significant exposure to senior leadership and operational decision-making execs.Experience in large corporates is desired.
