Senior Health & Safety Adviser Pembrokeshire County Council Are you a qualified and experienced Health & Safety professional who can influence, advise and lead positive change? Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking a motivated and solution-focused
Senior Health & Safety Adviser to join our in-house Occupational Health, Safety & Wellbeing Team.
Reporting directly to the Occupational Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will be a trusted professional adviser, providing expert health and safety guidance, training and support across the Council. Working collaboratively with managers and employees, you will help ensure legal compliance, manage organisational risk and promote a positive, proactive culture of health, safety and wellbeing.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play a key part in delivering Health & Safety programmes aligned to organisational priorities and risk. You will provide professional advice, support and training across a diverse range of Council services, contribute to the leadership and development of colleagues within the team, and drive continuous improvement through effective monitoring, auditing, governance and performance management. You will also support the development and maintenance of robust Health & Safety systems, standards and processes that help keep our workforce safe and well.
About You You will be an experienced Health & Safety professional with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. You will enjoy working as part of a supportive team, building strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation and providing practical advice, guidance and encouragement to help create a safe, healthy and positive workplace for all, supporting both our employees and the wider community.
