Education/Qualification

Essential criteria

• Educated to Masters level, or equivalent experience, with relevant commercial and contracting experience
• Portfolio / evidence of ongoing professional development, professional qualifications and experience e.g. project management, leadership, contract law.

Desirable criteria

• Legal degree or legal qualification
• Commercial or Business qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

• Knowledge and experience of both NHS and Local Authority contracting and performance management
• Experience in effective contract negotiations
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, SLAs and partnership agreements
• Acting as a subject matter expert and clearly defining issues and describing contractual situations in 'lay mans' terms

Skills & Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Strong relationship building and communication skills, with ability to work within a complex multi professional environment effectively
• Ability to produce clear and concise reports
• High level of interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
• Ability to work autonomously within a complex organization, managing own workload.
