Person specificationEducation/Qualification Essential criteria - Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria - Prince 2 or similar project management qualification
Experience Essential criteria - Previous experience of contract management and commissioning health services.
- Experience of managing or commissioning complex care packages
- Knowledge of effective budget management including resource planning
Skills & Knowledge Essential criteria - Good understanding and knowledge of commissioning, procurement and contracting including of the commissioning cycle
- Knowledge of the provider market and recent policy in respect of Continuing Care and health and social care services for children, young people
- Ability to analyse and interpret information and evaluate issues
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload to deliver required outcomes and to contribute to the overall improvement of services
- Ability to make decisions autonomously, when required, on difficult issues, working to tight and often changing timescales
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Sensitive in managing complex communications with the public
