Senior Commercial Manager

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of a major rail infrastructure project. You will take responsibility for project financial performance, contract management and subcontract packages, while leading a commercial team and working closely with the wider project leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the commercial strategy and performance of the project.
• Manage forecasting, CVRs, budgets, risk and opportunity.
• Oversee NEC contract administration, variations, change and contractual entitlements.
• Manage subcontract procurement, payments, final accounts and disputes.
• Provide commercial input into programme, design change and project risk.
• Lead and develop a commercial team of 5+ people.
• Ensure the project achieves its financial and commercial targets.

Experience required:

• Strong commercial management experience on major infrastructure projects valued at £100m+.
• Rail experience highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial/contract law.
• Experience managing sizeable commercial teams.
• Degree or equivalent in a commercial discipline.
• MRICS or CICES desirable.
