Job summaryAt present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. Staff are expected to participate in annual appraisals, complete mandatory training (including the Care Certificate within 12 weeks), and engage in ongoing professional development. They must communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and the clinical team, reporting any changes in patient condition promptly to a Registered Nurse.
Duties include providing personal care, assisting with clinical procedures, maintaining patient dignity, and supporting those with complex needs, including end-of-life care. Staff are required to use equipment safely, prepare clinical areas, manage stock, and maintain accurate documentation. They may also contribute to audits and training of new staff.
Working under supervision, they must demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and adherence to Trust policies, including dress standards, while ensuring a calm, respectful, and patient-focused environment at all times.
