We are recruiting a Senior Accountant (Treasury and Capital) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 37 hours
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Until November 2028
Location: Tŷ Penallta / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Corporate Accountancy

We pay an attractive salary of £40,444- £43,149and offer access to training and development opportunities. This key finance role provides specialist support across Capital and Treasury Management, helping to ensure the Council's resources are managed effectively.
Responsibilities include capital accounting and programme monitoring, investments and borrowing, budget management, reconciliations, year-end accounts and financial advice, while maintaining strong governance and compliance.
For the role, we ask that you have: - A relevant Level 4 financial qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- Considerable knowledge of local government finance and associated legislation.
- Ability to assess and advise upon the implications of changes in legislative, regulatory and codes of practice.
- Experience of staff management.
