Permanent. To start from 4th January 2027.

Salary: Main Range 1 to Upper Range 3 of the Teaching Staff pay spine, currently £32,916 - £51,048 per annum plus SEN Allowance

The Role:

An exciting opportunity to help shape a brand-new specialist provision at Werneth Primary School.

Werneth Primary School has recently been awarded funding to develop a brand-new, purpose-designed 24-place Inclusion Base for primary-aged children with social communication difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

This is a unique opportunity to join us at the start of this exciting journey and help shape a provision that will make a lasting difference to children and their families. Our vision is to provide the highest level of specialist support in a welcoming and inclusive environment, enabling children to learn alongside their peers and siblings within their local school community.

As a SEND Teacher within our Inclusion Base, you will have responsibility for a designated class of pupils with EHCPs. You will plan and deliver high-quality, personalised and adaptive teaching that responds to pupils' individual strengths, needs and interests and supports progress towards their EHCP outcomes.

You will create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to succeed. You will build positive relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals, working collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.

You will promote communication, engagement, independence and positive behaviour, maintaining high expectations while recognising that progress looks different for every child. You will support pupils' learning and development across a range of on-site and off-site experiences, helping them develop confidence, independence and life skills.

As an important member of the team, you will contribute to the development of our new Inclusion Base, helping to shape its ethos, systems, practice and provision. You will promote inclusion, belonging and participation across the wider school community and ensure the safeguarding, wellbeing and welfare of all pupils.

We are looking for an ambitious, compassionate and enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about SEND and believes that every child can thrive with the right support and opportunities.

You will be supported through ongoing professional development, including the opportunity to complete the NPQ for SENCOs.
