Section Engineer - Heathrow Airport, London - Competitive Day Rate - LTD Company Payment Available - Long-Term Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a major civil engineering programme at Heathrow Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading contractor delivering complex infrastructure works on one of the UK's most prestigious projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing groundworks, bulk excavation, and deep excavation activities
• Leading delivery of reinforced concrete (RC) structures including foundations, walls, slabs, and associated works
• Coordinating and managing sheet piling and temporary works operations
• Acting as Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC), ensuring compliance with temporary works procedures and approvals
• Reviewing RAMS, ITPs, drawings, and specifications
• Managing subcontractors and site engineers to ensure safe, efficient delivery of works
• Overseeing QA documentation, inspections, and handovers
• Liaising with construction teams, designers, and project management to ensure programme targets are achieved

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Section Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong background in groundworks, excavation, RC structures, and sheet piling
• Previous experience working as a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
• Ability to manage engineering teams and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of QA processes, ITPs, RAMS, and temporary works procedures
• Experience using Leica or Trimble equipment would be advantageous
• Heathrow, aviation, rail, highways, or major infrastructure experience preferred
