At Imperial we run theatres across five sites. We are looking to recruit into multiple anaesthetic and scrub theatre practitioner roles.

Main duties of the job

• As a Theatre Practitioner (Nurse or ODP) your role will be in Scrub and/or Anaesthetics delivering a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence-based practice.
• You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate all aspect of patient care, prepare patients and aid with clinical/operative procedures and participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.

Essential criteria

• Registered Nurse (NMC) OR Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC)
• Newly qualified or post registration experience acceptable
• Evidence of peri-operative interest or placement

Desirable criteria

• Theatre experience (scrub / anaesthetic)
• Completion of peri operative competencies
• Experience in acute hospital setting

Skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Basic IT skills
