About the RoleAre you an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school, where you'll play a key role in inspiring students to develop a strong understanding and enthusiasm for science.
Key Responsibilities• Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive Science lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and academic achievement.
• Teach engaging lessons across relevant areas of the Science curriculum, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics where appropriate.
• Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, using assessment data to inform planning and support individual achievement.
• Inspire students to develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Plan and deliver practical experiments safely, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and the wider school team to deliver an outstanding learning experience.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations, providing targeted support where required.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements• Passionate about delivering high-quality Science education and inspiring students to develop a love of learning.
• Committed to supporting students both academically and personally.
• A confident and effective classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge in Science.
• A strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
• Able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Professional, reliable, and adaptable in their approach to teaching.
• Dedicated to creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and supported.
• Strong knowledge of practical Science and a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
