About the RoleYou'll join one of four Account Management teams, reporting directly to the Head of Account Management. As a Sales Manager, your main responsibility is to lead and develop a team of 8 Account Managers. They'll be focused on retaining and expanding a diverse portfolio of small to medium-sized car dealerships. Your tasks include implementing sales strategies, monitoring performance metrics, and collaborating cross-departmentally to meet sales goals. You'll analyze data to uncover trends, generate insightful reports for senior management, provide regular feedback and coaching to your team, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement to drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
Strong communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills are essential for excelling in this position.
What will this role entail? - Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of account managers to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to retain and grow client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Analyse account performance metrics and develop action plans to address areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated client issues, working to resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and potential threats.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing updates on account performance, trends, and strategies.
What you'll need to bring... - Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyse data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Prior experience in managing an Account Manager team is crucial, along with a demonstrated history of consistently meeting and surpassing revenue, retention targets, and KPIs.
- High capability of emotional intelligence, displaying strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Self motivated, driven and results oriented with a customer-centric approach and a clear commitment to delivering exceptional service, driving client satisfaction.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
