Person specificationEducation and Qualifications Essential criteria - Pharmacy degree from recognised university
- Registration (or eligible for registration) with General Pharmaceutical Council with registration maintained during entire period of employment
- Commitment to continuing professional development
- Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent (for Band 7)
Desirable criteria - Non-Medical Precribing qualification (for band 7)
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
Experience Essential criteria - Demonstrable evidence of competence in post-registration clinical pharmacy practice e.g. clinical ward activity (for band 7)
- Proven experience in audit work - data collection and presentation (for band 7)
- Demonstrate understanding of the principals of medicines optimisation (for band 7)
- Experience of clinical pharmacy services in a range of specialties/settings (for band 7)
Desirable criteria - Demonstrate understanding of the principals of medicines optimisation
- Experience of ward and clinical pharmacy services in a range of specialties/settings
- Demonstrate team work (inter/intra-departmental)
- Demonstrable evidence of competence in chemotherapy / parenteral nutrition, homecare or equivalent community experience (for band 7)
- Experience in mentoring/supervising (for band 7)
- Experience in delivering education and training (for band 7)
Knowledge Essential criteria - Computer literate (Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Desirable criteria - Knowledge of Clinical audit / Drug Use Review projects
Skills Essential criteria - Clarity in English
