About the role

A part-time research associate opportunity is available in the Rashid laboratory, focusing on preclinical animal studies evaluating stem cell-derived hepatocyte products in small-animal models of liver injury. We invite applications from driven scientists to contribute to our cutting-edge, translational programme.

Situated at the Hammersmith Campus, the successful candidate will join a collaborative research team leveraging state of the art stem cell engineering, biomaterials, animal models and human tissue in the context of cell therapy and disease modelling.

What you would be doing

You will be instrumental in:

• Planning and conducting in vivo experiments
• Maintaining animal-research documentation, including PI licence
• Analysing outcomes using histology and flow cytometry (FACS)
• Training colleagues, providing guidance to staff and students involved in the project.
• Managing project activity
• Reporting findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Contributing to external funding applications.
