Registry Officer (Student Lifecycle)

At Cardiff Met, we're committed to delivering an outstanding student experience through excellent service, effective administration and high-quality data. Registry Services sits at the heart of the University, supporting students throughout their entire journey, from enrolment through to graduation, while ensuring the integrity of the records, processes and systems that underpin the University's operation.

As a Registry Officer (Student Lifecycle), you'll join a collaborative and customer-focused team providing administrative support across a broad range of Registry activities. This role has been established to provide additional operational capacity during a significant period of organisational and digital transformation, helping to ensure excellent service delivery while supporting wider improvement initiatives across the University.

You'll work across a variety of student administration processes, maintaining accurate records, supporting key operational activities and assisting colleagues and students throughout the student lifecycle. Your work will contribute directly to the delivery of efficient, compliant and student-centred services.

You'll play a key role by:
  • Supporting a wide range of student lifecycle activities, including enrolment, student records management, assessment administration, academic outcomes and graduation processes.
  • Maintaining accurate student, curriculum and operational records across University systems, ensuring high standards of data quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Producing, verifying and issuing official student documentation, including transcripts, certificates and digital credentials.
  • Responding to enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders, providing accurate advice and excellent customer service.
  • Providing administrative support to committees, projects, meetings and operational activities, helping to ensure effective governance and service delivery.
  • Contributing to process improvements and new ways of working that enhance efficiency, service quality and the student experience.

What you'll bring

You'll be a highly organised and adaptable administrator with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. You'll enjoy working in a busy environment, managing a varied workload and maintaining accurate information across complex systems and processes.

You'll be confident working with data and digital systems, communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and supporting the delivery of high-quality services across the University.

Additionally, you'll bring:
  • Experience of maintaining and validating records within a complex information system while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience of providing high-quality administrative support and managing competing priorities to meet deadlines and service standards.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work effectively with databases and enterprise systems.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of confidentiality, data protection and information governance principles.

Experience within Higher Education, knowledge of student administration processes, or familiarity with student records and academic administration would be advantageous. Experience of supporting process improvement or organisational change initiatives would also be beneficial. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to supporting students and delivering excellent services.
