Do you have a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills? Newport City Council is looking for a dedicated Recycling Administration Officer to join our vibrant team!

This is predominantly a site-based position located at Docks Way Recycling Centre, Newport. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the majority of their duties on-site and work closely with operational teams based at the facility.
Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyse information to produce data reports to comply with reporting duties such as submission of data to Waste Data Flow or similar, provision of information to regulators and external stakeholders
- Assist in the delivery of Newport's waste and recycling strategy, including preparation of funding bids and managing grant funding.
- Act as a point of contact for queries and complaints related to recycling, managing responses and liaising with stakeholders

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with:

- A technical qualification in an appropriate environmental subject, or evidence of equivalent professional experience .
- Significant experience in administration of schemes, managing payment and accountancy systems.
- Demonstrable experience of data, analysis and reporting
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively to a wide range of internal or external colleagues, stakeholders, and partners, maintaining positive working relationships.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to use technology to enhance business effectiveness.
