We are looking for a caring, reliable and well-organised individual with good communication skills, confidence using computers and experience of working with the public. Previous healthcare or imaging experience is desirable, but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
The post is primarily based within Ultrasound at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, with the potential to work at community sites according to service needs. You will prepare clinical rooms, trolleys, equipment and consumables; clean and decontaminate equipment and patient areas in line with departmental procedures; monitor stock levels; and help maintain a safe, clean and well-organised environment. Any concerns about a patient's condition or safety must be reported promptly to registered staff.
The role also includes reception and administrative duties, such as answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries, contacting patients and clinical areas, recording information accurately and using radiology and clinical IT systems. You will work within agreed procedures, complete delegated tasks, prioritise your workload and contribute positively to the day-to-day running of the service.
