Your Responsibilities

• Design and document optical transmission and IP network solutions.
• Review network designs for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Manage network capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.
• Configure, provision, and test routers, switches, and optical equipment.
• Support service activation across optical and IP networks.
• Optimize network utilization and capacity management.
• Maintain technical documentation and network records.
• Monitor network performance using testing and monitoring tools.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver customer network solutions.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Strong experience with Ciena 6500 optical transport platforms.
• Expertise in DWDM, ROADM, Flexgrid, and photonic networks.
• Solid knowledge of IP Networking (L2/L3) technologies.
• Experience with BGP and MPLS networking.
• Hands-on configuration, provisioning, and testing of network equipment.
• Knowledge of network design, capacity planning, and service activation.
• Experience with optical testing and network monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Experience with Nokia, Adva, Ekinops, or similar transport platforms.
• Vendor certifications (Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia).
• Telecom service provider or carrier-grade network experience.
• Network performance monitoring and fault management expertise.
• Knowledge of telecom standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience in customer-facing and cross-functional environments.
• Exposure to process improvement and operational documentation.
