Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking an exceptional leader to join our Adult Social Care leadership team and provide strategic and operational leadership across our Residential and Extra Care Services.

About the Role
You will provide strategic and operational leadership and direction across Residential and Extra Care Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services that promote wellbeing, independence and choice. The role offers significant scope to influence how services develop and contribute to their future direction.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing Residential and Extra Care Services across the county borough.
Providing leadership, support and professional challenge to Registered Managers, promoting a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
Ensuring compliance with RISCA, Care Inspectorate Wales requirements and Social Care Wales Codes of Professional Practice.
Driving innovation, service transformation, quality assurance, safeguarding and performance improvement.
Leading a large and diverse workforce across multiple locations.
Managing significant budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money and high-quality outcomes.
Building and maintaining strong partnerships with health, social care, housing and third-sector organisations.
Deputising for the Responsible Individual when required and supporting robust governance arrangements across services.
About You
We are looking for a confident, credible and forward-thinking leader who can inspire others and deliver sustainable improvements across services.
You will bring:
Significant experience of managing regulated residential care services for older people.
A strong understanding of adult social care legislation, safeguarding responsibilities and regulatory requirements.
A proven track record of leading service improvement and successfully managing change.
Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience of managing complex budgets, resources and operational performance.
The ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
A passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for people, families and communities.
