Role: Production Support Engineer

  • Provide hands-on engineering support to production teams to resolve day-to-day manufacturing issues and maintain safe, consistent output.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, design, and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues and improve operational performance.
  • Investigate production disruptions, non-conformances and process deviations, implementi ng timely containment and corrective actions.
  • Use structured problem-solving, Lean methods and production data to reduce recurring issues, improve process stability, and support continuous improvement.


The Role

The Production Support Engineer provides hands-on engineering support to manufacturing operations, resolving production issues, improving process stability, and ensuring quality, delivery, and operational performance.
Your Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support to resolve day-to-day production issues.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Support production readiness, process validation, and new product introductions.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process plans, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Investigate non-conformances and production disruptions using root cause analysis.
  • Implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.
  • Support audits, quality reviews, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Monitor production KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Improve yield, process capability, quality, and operational efficiency.
Essential Skills / Experience
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with process validation, FAIR, SPC, MSA, Gauge R&R, and capability studies.
  • Strong Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why, and corrective action experience.
  • Experience supporting precision manufacturing, machining, assembly, or inspection operations.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, non-conformance management, and quality systems.
  • Hands-on shop-floor production support experience.
  • Experience using MES, Teamcenter, Minitab, and Excel for manufacturing analysis.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing process improvements and operational performance.
Desirable Skills / Experience
  • Aerospace, defence, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance, and quality reviews.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent qualification.
  • Continuous improvement and production problem-solving experience.
