Caerphilly County Borough Council is recognised as one of the best-performing Local Planning Authorities in Wales and is delivering an ambitious regeneration and placeshaping programme. We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Principal Enforcement Officer to join our Planning Services Team.

This is a key role within our Planning Enforcement Service. You will lead the investigation and resolution of complex and high-profile breaches of planning control, manage a varied caseload, prepare enforcement notices and prosecution cases, represent the Council at appeals, inquiries and court proceedings, and provide professional support and mentoring to enforcement and planning officers.

For the role, we ask that you have:

• A Degree or diploma course in Town Planning or a related discipline at Level 6 on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales
• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience
• Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to undertake site inspections and site meetings.
