Job summary

Are you an experienced psychological professional with apassion for education, learner support and workforce development?

We are pleased to be offering an exciting full-time role,working 37.5 hours per week, within our Practice Education Team at DevonPartnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will join our establishedmulti-disciplinary team, providing advice, training opportunities and supportto staff, learners and supervisors across the organisation, with a particularfocus on psychological professions.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the development, coordinationand quality assurance of practice education for psychological professionsacross the Trust. They will act as a key contact for learners, supervisors andservices, ensuring placements and learning opportunities are well supported,inclusive and aligned to professional and organisational requirements.

This exciting role will plan, coordinate and support psychologicalprofessions learner placements internally and externally, helping to ensurelearners experience high-quality placements and are able to meet the requiredlearning outcomes.

The role will develop placement capacity and learningpathways for psychological professions, working with services, educationproviders and professional leads to support a positive and consistent learnerexperience across adult and children's mental health services.

As part of placement expansion and workforce developmentplans, the post holder will support supervisors and practice educators withinpsychological professions, helping colleagues build confidence and capabilityin supporting learners.

As part of the Trust Practice Education Team, you will work withina multi-disciplinary team made up of nurses, allied health professionals andother professional leads. You will also link closely with psychologicalprofessions colleagues and senior leads, providing support, advice andcoordination to strengthen practice education across the psychologicalprofessions workforce.

Essential

  • Extensive experience of working within mental health or learning disability services in an environment which takes students/learners
  • Experience of working with students/learners
Desirable

  • Previous experience of reviewing / designing/auditing training
Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of psychological professions preceptorship/apprenticeships/other learner processes
  • Knowledge of HEIs and health related degrees
Qualifications

  • Professional registration with either the BPS, BABCP, BACP, UKCP, HCPC, (or equivalent)
  • Educated to degree level
  • Post Graduate qualification in coaching/mentoring/supervision

  • Post Graduate diploma in Education or Project Management or equivalent.
