Education/Qualification

Essential criteria

• Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor)
• Relevant Post graduate Specialist Practitioner qualification (nursing roles) / Educated to Masters degree level or equivalent
• Clinical Leadership training
• Evidence of continuing personal and professional development

Desirable criteria

• Project management qualification
• Learning and Development Qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

• Previous experience in practice development
• Experience in taking forward clinical and service change
• Experience of working in a changing and uncertain environment
• Experience of delivering on development initiatives and leading change with individuals and teams
• Experience of working and engaging with staff and stakeholders at all levels
• Experience of using evidence to inform best practice

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Knowledge of the national priorities relating to the Healthy Child Programme
• Ability to implement and evaluate successful change programmes
• Leadership skills, relationship building skills and influencing skills
• Ability to focus on key priorities and to sustain momentum to achieved desired results
• Integrates organisational vision and values as way of working
• Aware of the equalities and diversity agenda
• Ability to work in a pressure environment and keep calm in challenging situations.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet competing demands and priorities
• Proficient IT Skills
