Education/ qualifications

Essential criteria

• Registered Nurse
• A recognized teaching qualification or the equivalent experience.

Desirable criteria

• Educated to degree level.
• A post Registration qualification in wound care or equivalent experience.

Experience

Essential criteria

• Extensive experience in wound care and/ plastic surgery
• Knowledge of quality
• Improvement, standard setting, benchmarking and audit.
• Knowledge of NMC Code of Professional Conduct

Skills/knowledge/ abilities

Essential criteria

• Competency in wound care assessment and management
• IT skills including use of email, Cerner and office packages
• Articulate with advanced written and oral communication skills

Desirable criteria

• Ability to undertake staff appraisals or willingness to learn
