The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

We require a reliable and creative student Photographer/Videographer to capture high-quality visual content during Graduate Development Day 2026.

The successful applicant will capture photography and video of keynote speakers, panel discussions, breakout sessions, networking activities, the Development Zone and general event highlights. Content will be used for promotional, communications and future event purposes.

The role requires the successful applicant to work professionally and sensitively within a busy event environment, ensuring photography and filming does not disrupt speakers or attendees. They will work independently while liaising with the event team to identify key moments and priorities, and will be responsible for managing and organising digital files appropriately.

Date: Monday 21 September 2026
Hours of Work: 12noon-5pm (+2.5 hours editing time)

A briefing will be provided before the event covering the event schedule, key photography and filming requirements, priority moments and locations. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to discuss the expected visual content requirements with the event team before the event.

Person Specification

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who have already undergone the legal checks required to work and are on the Jobs4Students' Processed Through Payroll list and who meet the following requirements:
  • Experience using photography and video recording equipment.
  • Good photography, videography and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work professionally within a busy event environment.
  • Will be expected to provide their own equipment.

Desirable:
  • Existing photography, videography or event content portfolio.
  • Experience photographing or filming live events or university activities.
  • Experience editing photography and/or video content.
  • Experience creating promotional or social media content.
  • Interest in events, careers, employability, digital content or communications.
