Essential Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE English and maths at C grade or above or equivalent.


Desirable criteria
  • NVQ/QFC level2/apprenticeship in related subject.


Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Ability to work to defined protocols and seek advice. where appropriate
  • Evidence of manual dexterity and technical work.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organise oneself.


Desirable criteria
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous work involving phlebotomy.
  • Work in a healthcare role or similar.
  • Must be able to work independently.


Personal Qualities

Essential criteria
  • Pleasant disposition.
  • Understanding of the job requirements.
  • Must have suitable private transport insured for class 1 business use and be able to travel to community clinics and transport samples for analysis.
