Job summary

We are seeking a self-motivated, patient/service focused individual to join our existing team of Pharmacy Assistants working within the dispensary.

Facilitating the smooth flow of work through the dispensary making sure all people involved in the process, including patients and staff are provided with necessary information to ensure that patient's medication supply needs are met as a priority.

You'll also ensure the timely collection of pharmacy orders and delivery of pharmaceuticals to all wards and departments.

The post holder undertakes general courier duties to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy and moving of bulk products and equipment as required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Duties include reception work, ensuring the dispensary is adequately stocked with supplies and some housekeeping duties.

They ensure the timely collection of pharmacy orders and delivery of pharmaceuticals to all wards and departments.

• GCSE pass or equivalent in Maths and English Language
• NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services or willingness to undertake and achieve NVQ Level 2 within 12 months of appointment

Experience

• Working as part of a team
