Barnardo's Works is an employability service working in partnership with associated employers to provide young people aged 16-29 (and parents up to the age of 35 in Dundee), with a unique blend of personal support and accredited training, matched with quality work experience and the opportunity for sustainable, independent employment.
Barnardo's is delighted to be part of the "All in Dundee" Consortium of Third Sector Training Providers led by ENABLE Works in Dundee. This project is funded by Dundee City Council. This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, and 100% of working hours will be dedicated to the role of PES Co-ordinator. The PES strand of the All in Dundee Pathways Programme was developed to deliver employability support and in-work progression for low-income parents in Dundee City. The focus of this project is to increase income for low-income families and to move them out of poverty; thus aligning with Dundee City Council's Child Poverty Strategy.
This is a full-time position to deliver 1-2-1 support to a caseload of eligible parents aged 35 and under (unemployed and underemployed young parents). The priority will be to support unemployed parents into employment/self-employment and to also work with underemployed parents to support their progression within the workplace to enhance their earnings potential.

This is a permanent role, however this is subject to continued funding which is confirmed annually. We are currently part of a 5-year funding framework up to 2029.

Location of PostThis main base for this post will be Barnardo's Works Tayside, 3 Fleuchar Street, Dundee, DD2 2LQ; however you will also be required to work out in the communities across Dundee.
