Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder will support positive working relationships with staff across the clinical management groups (CMG), corporate directorates and other provider and commissioner organisations, including the Local Maternity & Neonatal Services (LMNS) partnership, Maternity Voice Partnership, Neonatal Voices Partnership (NVP), local authorities and social enterprises.
Demonstrate outstanding motivational skills and influencing skills in driving the work forward, encouraging collaborative working throughout
Ensure clinicians, the CMG and relevant Trust committees are suitably appraised on the purpose and progress of work programmes.
Operational Management and LeadershipCreate and maintain forward looking work-programme for Maternity & Neonatal Services Improvement
Work under own initiative to resolve issues and manage work load requirements, be self-motivated and proactively seek and resolve difficulties.
To be the first point of contact first for internal and external parties for all matters relating to the Maternity & Neonatal Services Improvement Programme, and aim to resolve issues whenever possible and when required direct queries to other staff in a timely manner.
Summarise key messages for Board and Committee meetings and circulate to team on a weekly basis.
Author delegated papers, project plans, and coordinates the agenda and other papers for the Maternity & Neonatal Services and other Programme Boards as necessary. Papers will require the post holder to gather data from multiple sources and manipulate/interpret the data to present information in an accessible format to a multidisciplinary audience. Take action for designated project meetings.
Prepare and circulate monthly Maternity & Neonatal Improvement Programme papers to all CMG.
Attend internal and external meetings as required, take responsibility for appropriate actions and report back formally to the relevant member(s) of the team.
Support programme and project delivery activities, including project support for key work streams
Person specificationTraining and qualifications Essential criteria - Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

Experience Essential criteria - Significant experience of working in partnership and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across a health and social care economy.
- Supporting business case development experience
- Able to demonstrate experience of being patient centric in approach to service development, planning and improvements
- Able to demonstrate evidence of supporting delivery of a service improvement or project skills in an environment influenced both by internal and external changes
- Line management experience
- Good understanding of NHS systems, processes and current developments and vision within the NHS at a local, regional and national level
- Project management experience and use of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of developing effective processes and implementing change
Desirable criteria - Budget management experience
- Commercial experience working across organisations
- Experience within strategic development within a healthcare setting
- Good understanding of national drives for improvement across maternity and neonatal service

The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.
The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
