ABOUT THE ROLE

On your placement in People Experience, you will help to create a great working environment that enables our people to thrive and promote a culture of trust through active listening and positive action.

Coordinating an assigned portfolio of activities, you will seek to enhance the interactions our people have with Northumbria University as an employer. This will include understanding how our people interact with policies, processes, and systems as well as the manager/ work relationship to identify and deliver opportunities to transform the way people feel about their work.

Data-informed and outcome-focused, you will help us to drive Northumbria University's reputation as great place to work.

The role is fixed term for 12 months.

This placement opportunity is funded by NU:Opportunities Funding and is open to all students eligible to take a Placement Year between their second and final year for the 2024/2025 academic year. All candidates must be a current Level 5 student. It is vital that you please check the placement you are applying for is appropriate for you and relates to your course/modules. If you are unsure, please ask your Programme Leader or contact the Placements & Internships Team.

This role will be joining the People Experience Team within Human Resources.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in the role you will have:

Knowledge of relevant and up-to-date theory of a positive People Experience

Strong team player, willing and able to work as part of a collaborative, passionate, proactive team

Collating and analysing information and data to make recommendations and support informed decisions.

Takes pride in delivering to high standards and exceeding customer expectations

Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to understand and convey a range of information including developing and presenting written reports

An enthusiastic approach with a commitment to work and develop
