Job summary

This is a fantastic time to join our vibrant andfriendly paediatric team as we are evolving and expanding the PaediatricEmergency Department at WRH. It is a busy department which offersextensive learning and development opportunities unique to an urgent caresetting.

We see a wide range of patients who require fast effectivenursing care which encompasses many fields of expertise and specialities,whilst maintaining a child friendly atmosphere, and ensuring the child is atthe centre of all we do.

Applicants must be an NMC Registered Nurse Paediatric or dual trained.

Using your clinical experience andskills you will work with your Paediatric team as a named nurse to maintain accountabilityfor assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care withinthe framework of team Paediatric nursing.

Acting with compassion you willput children, young people and their parents at the centre of all you do.

You will communicate effectivelywith patients and their carers regarding their care and educate patients wherethere is a need.

You will communicate effectivelywith the multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality patient care.

You will show commitment tosustaining and developing your clinical competence and professional awareness.

You will provide supervision,support and education to unqualified staff and students.

This role will require you to workvariable hours in order to fulfil the needs of the department.

You will show courage by embracingnew ways of working and doing the right thing by the children and young people you care for,including speaking up when you have concerns.
