This vacancy is for the Sperdrg Distribtion Centre; basedin Dnstable. The hors of will we be predominantly as stated above btflexibility will be reqired across all other shift patterns.

Abot the role.

A Team Leader is a member of Management who spports theShift Managers with the Daily management/coordination of site operations;assisting with leading a team within a designated area of the DistribtionCentre.
Or operation at SRDC provides stock to over storesacross the Sperdrg Stores Network. As yo can expect this is a fast pacedrole in a bsy environment.

Working as "One Team" to ensre that operationalefficiencies are identified and maximised; encoraging Growth & Innovationwithin the team, tilising appropriate resorce and safe working practices; tohelp create a Spply Chain that makes or cstomer smile!

Keys roles and responsibilities:

To take ownership of all People Management isses for colleages within their area of responsibility, engaging with the shift manager and people team, ensring fair and consistent approach to all company processes, policies and procedres
To motivate, coach & develop a team of colleages; to enable them to carry ot their dties in the most effective & efficient way, tilising all appropriate training and development tools.
Fll accontability and responsibility for nominated KPI's, pertaining to the area within which yo manage, commnicating KPI stats on a reglar basis with the shift Manager.
To continosly review and develop specified processes within yor area of responsibility, maximising efficiencies, commnicating the Management team for implementation.
Working collaboratively with the Health & Safety team to bild and pdate all safe systems of work and risk assessments, for yor area of responsibility; ensring that all changes/pdates are effectively commnicated.
To deliver an effective and seamless shift handover to the oncoming team
To engage the Shift Manager in timely pdates on daily progress within yor area of responsibility, identifying and resolving areas of concern
Role model a site cltre that demonstrates or company vales
Be an ambassador for driving good health & safety practices across all team.
Assisting shift manager and fellow colleages with ad hoc projects and reports when reqired. Deptise as Shift Manager when reqired.
Condct team briefings where reqired.

Key skills & attribtes:

To collaborate flly with fellow Team Leaders, Shift Managers and colleages to spport bsiness performance.
Stock control experience is essential for this role.
Excellent planning and project management skills
Excellent analytical and IT skills
Proven Management experience within a distribtion environment or similar
Ability to commnicate and engage effectively, with team and colleages.
Strong people management skills
Good nderstanding of cost reports, operational efficiencies and cost management
Sond knowledge of warehose management systems
