Introdction

An exciting opportnity has arisen to be part of the sccessfl Sperdrg Spply Chain; working within one of or three bsy Distribtion centres as a Team Leader.

This vacancy is for the Sothern Region Distribtion centre; based in Dnstable. The hors of will we be predominantly as stated above bt flexibility will be reqired across all other shift patterns.

Abot the role

A Team Leader is a member of Management who spports the Shift Managers with the Daily management/coordination of site operations; assisting with leading a team within a designated area of the Distribtion Centre.

Or operation at SRDC provides stock to over 6 stores across the Sperdrg & Savers Stores Network. As yo can expect this is a fast paced role in a bsy environment.

A passion for reslts will ensre that all specified standards are maintained; if not exceeded.

Working as "One Team" to ensre that operational efficiencies are identified and maximised; encoraging Growth & Innovation within the team, tilising appropriate resorce and safe working practices; to help create a Spply Chain that makes or cstomer smile!

Keys roles and responsibilities:

To take ownership of all People Management isses for colleages within their area of responsibility, engaging with the shift manager and people team, ensring fair and consistent approach to all company processes, policies and procedres

To motivate, coach & develop a team of colleages; to enable them to carry ot their dties in the most effective & efficient way, tilising all appropriate training and development tools.

Fll accontability and responsibility for nominated KPI's, pertaining to the area within which yo manage, commnicating KPI stats on a reglar basis with the shift manager.

To continosly review and develop specified processes within yor area of responsibility, maximising efficiencies, commnicating the Management team for implementation.

Working collaboratively with the Health & Safety team to bild and pdate all safe systems of work and risk assessments, for yor area of responsibility; ensring that all changes/pdates are effectively commnicated.

To deliver an effective and seamless shift handover to the oncoming team

To engage the Shift Manager in timely pdates on daily progress within yor area of responsibility, identifying and resolving areas of concern

Role model a site cltre that demonstrates or company vales

Be an ambassador for driving good health & safety practices across all team.

Assisting shift manager and fellow colleages with ad hoc projects and reports when reqired. Deptise as Shift Manager when reqired.

Condct team briefings where reqired.

Key skills & attribtes:

To collaborate flly with fellow Team Leaders, Shift Managers and colleages to spport bsiness performance.

Excellent planning and project management skills

Excellent analytical and IT skills

Proven Management experience within a distribtion environment or similar

Ability to commnicate and engage effectively, with team and colleages.

Strong people management skills

Good nderstanding of cost reports, operational efficiencies and cost management

Sond knowledge of warehose management systems
