We are seeking two motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join our community Health and Social Care teams based in either Ilfracombe or Bideford.

These are exciting opportunities to work within integrated multidisciplinary teams supporting adults to maximise independence, remain safe within their own homes, and achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.

As a community Occupational Therapist, you will work with a diverse caseload, undertaking functional assessments, Care Act assessments, manual handling assessments, equipment provision, housing recommendations, and adaptation assessments.

You will play a key role in supporting hospital discharge, preventing admission to long-term care, and enabling people to live independently within their communities.

Main duties of the job

You will:

Manage a varied and rewarding adult social care caseload. Complete Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions. Undertake Care Act assessments and reviews.

Recommend equipment and adaptations to promote independence. Support complex case management, safeguarding enquiries and multi-agency working.

Contribute to Community DoLS and Court of Protection work where required.

Work closely with health colleagues, care providers, housing teams and voluntary sector partners.

Help reduce delays in care, prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and support timely discharge from hospital.

About us

North Devon offers a unique opportunity to combine a rewarding career with an exceptional quality of life.

Whether based in the coastal town of Ilfracombe or the thriving community of Bideford, you will enjoy stunning countryside, beautiful coastline and a supportive professional network.

In return, we offer
