Job summaryWe are seeking to appoint a full-time Consultant in Rheumatology & General Medicine on a full-time permanent basis. The appointee will work with consultant colleagues to provide comprehensive inpatient , Day unit and outpatient services for local residents across East Sussex with a catchment area of approximately 544,000. This post is cross-site, based at EDGH with outreach clinics across community sites Conquest hospital at Hastings and Uckfield community hospital.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a Consultant to join the Department of Rheumatology in East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The appointee will be an individual with enthusiasm, strong self-motivation and the skills necessary to contribute to the development of our patient-centered rheumatology service.
The post-holder will form part of a multi-disciplinary team approach to care within the speciality. The appointee will take an active role in the Rheumatology service, including Ultrasound incorporated fast track GCA clinic with full participation in cross-county clinical activities in our community clinics.
The post will be based at the EDGH Hospital forming part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with colleagues cross site. This includes regular audit, governance and outcome meetings with colleagues based at the Eastbourne District General Hospital.
